Obituary for Lauraine B. Ashe

Ticonderoga. Lauraine B. Ashe, 83, of Ticonderoga, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the UVM Medical Center of Burlington, Vermont.
Born in Altona, New York, May 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Malina (Brean) Turner.
Mrs. Ashe has been a resident of Ticonderoga for most of her life.
Through the years, she was employed as a cook at several area restaurants including the Dockside in Hague, NY.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to fish, coach Little League, play cards and do doughnuts at the ferry landing with her car in the winter.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Ashe, and also by one daughter, Mary J. Putnam.
Survivors include one daughter, JoLee A. Ashe of Ticonderoga; six sisters, Theresa Manning, Nancy Lee, Jane Agnew, Carole, Beatrice and Susan; and one brother, Donald Turner. She is also survived by two grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 12, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.
A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw will officiate.
Following the Services, a Reception will take place at the American Legion of Ticonderoga.
Interment will take place in the Spring at the family plot of the Mt. Hope Cemetery of Ticonderoga.

A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Funeral Home. Following the Services a Reception will take place at the American Legion of Ticonderoga. Interment will take place in the Spring.
