Obituary for Robert Patrick Martucci

Robert Patrick Martucci, 92, of Hague, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, in the comfort of his own home.

Robert was born in Queens, New York and purchased what is known today as Northern Lake George Resort in the 1960’s, with his wife and twin sons. He continued to play an active role in the management of the resort until recent health issues intervened.

In his early years, Robert proudly served his country as a Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy in both the Pacific and European theaters during World War II. After the war, he pursued a career as a machinist.

Robert was extremely passionate about opera music, as he was an opera singer who performed at both Carnegie Hall and The Town Hall in New York City. He enjoyed wood-working and metal-working as well as many outdoor activities including hunting. Robert’s biggest passion, however, was spending quality time with his family and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his son, Mark, as well as his twin sister Marie and her husband Charles, his brothers Joseph and his wife Mary, Albert and his wife Louise, and Dominic and his wife Nicoletta.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Kay Martucci, his son David, his two daughters-in-law Kim and Bonnie, and his two grandchildren Cassandra and Antonio.

A Memorial Service celebrating Robert’s long and happy life will be held on Saturday, November 25th at Northern Lake George Resort at 2 p.m. All friends and family are welcome to join in the celebration. If you have any fond memories of Robert, please feel free to bring them and share.
